Combined IM and Peds. Four years for dual board certification.
Med-peds physicians are board-eligible in both adult and pediatric medicine. Practice ranges from primary care across the lifespan to specialty (e.g. adult congenital cardiology, transitional medicine for chronic pediatric disease). Often serve special populations bridging the pediatric-to-adult care gap.
Lifestyle & practice
Resident hours similar to IM and Peds (60 to 75). Attending lifestyle similar to whichever side you primarily practice. Comp slightly above pure pediatrics, roughly equivalent to IM.
